The Ben Award

The Small Press Center has been following the tradition of honoring eminent personalities in the field of independent publishing with the Poor Richard's Award for nearly 15 years. The award, a bust of Benjamin Franklin, has been recently renamed to be called the "Ben Award" at the suggestion, and in the honor, of George Plimpton, recipient of the 2003 award. The presentation of the award marks the opening of the annual Small Press Book Fair.
