As a small press
publisher, you are cordially invited to
become a member of the Small Press
Center, a nonprofit organization that
displays, supports, and celebrates books
published by small independent presses.
Annual programs
include the Small Press Book Fair, a year
around display of books, workshops on all
aspects of publishing, lectures, readings
and thematic book exhibits. The Center is
cofounder with PMA (Publishers Marketing
Association) of Small Press Month, which
occurs every March.

Space at SPC - Out of town
publishers visiting New York on
business can now find a temporary
home in the heart of Manhattan at the SPC. We will provide (unless already
booked) a quiet office space for you
to make phone calls, send faxes, deal
with urgent matters and relax before
your next meeting. If you are also
looking for a meeting space, for a
very modest fee, we will try to
accommodate you.

books throughout the year and distribution
of ordering information to SPC
visitors.

publishers and would-be publishers
and discounts on audiotapes of
the workshops.

Publisher Eligibility
A press must either be operated as an
independent small business by
individual owners, members or
shareholders or be owned and operated
by a non-profit organization or
educational institution.
Self-published books are welcome.
Publishers charging the author the
full cost of production, and selling
books back to the author in a 'vanity' arrangement are
ineligible.
Membership Dues & Fees
Membership dues are $75 annually
($100 for two-year membership). This
includes display of two books
year-round. Additional titles are $15
each.
From January 1, 2004, window rentals will be $125 for two weeks.
From January 1, 2004, rental to the balcony will be $200.
